Portrait of Dan DuffyI would like to take a minute of your time to introduce myself. My name is Dan Duffy and I am finishing up my first term as an Illinois State Senator from the 26th District.

I grew up on the south side of Chicago, the youngest of eleven children. I went to school at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois and moved to the northwest suburbs after graduation. It was here that I started my first small business - a computer consulting company - and have been a small business owner for the past 20 years.

Illinois is facing some serious financial challenges.  Our state has the largest pension burden in America.  We currently have $83 Billion dollars in unfunded pension liabilities.  Our states legislative leaders, led by Speaker Michael Madigan, refuse to address the disastrous policies that are damaging our state.  Due to their inaction, the unfunded pension liability is growing by $12.6 million every day.  That means by refusing to make the difficult decisions to solve this problem, we are adding $525,000 to our pension debt every hour!

I’m looking for hardworking, dedicated volunteers who believe as I do in governing for the next generation - not the next election!  If you’re interested in being a part of the Duffy Team which will bring common sense solutions to Springfield, please give me a call at 847-381-8082.  I look forward to speaking with you soon.
